Bonjour Service Corrupt My Networks Connectivity

Another Safari bug...

Bonjour lets you create an instant network of computers and smart devices just by getting them connected to each other. With Bonjour for Windows, you can easily network your Windows computer to an existing network or create instant networks of multiple devices without any additional network configuration.

What does Bonjour have to do with me? For starter, recently I have install Safari 3 Beta for Windows which come bundle with Bonjour service and I install it as well (out of curiosity).

Fedora 7

Yesterday, Fedora 7 "Moonshine" has been officially released. As been announced by Bill Nottingham (Fedora Project board member), on the Fedora developer's list earlier this year (Jan. 4), there will be no more "Core" or "Extra" releases as the two repositories had been merged as a single repository. So, there you go; the reason why there are no more "Core" in this latest release naming convention. Among Fedora 7 features include a tickless kernel, KVM virtualization, Liberation fonts, and the capability to mix your own Fedora distribution with ease (from what I understand, it something that let the users to customize their Fedora 7 to contains only a set of package they desire and best of all share it with others). Go to their official site for more info (FedoraProject.org), this link for their release notes and here for the official announcement.

4 Must Have FireFox Extension for Web Developer

Posted by crynobone. on 27-November 2006. Filed under , and . View:870 Comment:3

For more than a year Mozilla FireFox have been my choice of browser, I have practically tried everything from IE, MyIE2 (later changed into Maxthon), Opera, Avant Browser, Flock and etc. At first it was the addiction to multiple tabbing and prevention from the much unsecure Active-X component, later when I have a constant internet connection the addiction grow from just multiple tabbing to Live Bookmark where none have offer before (and none still except for Flock but it still fail at some point).

That was then, now the only reason why I haven't change was the introduction of spellchecker and many extensions that really help ease my browsing experience. It a bit ironic when I been using FireFox for such a long time but still neglect to use FireFox extension until recently, so today I going to share my 4 must have extension for web developer.

Mozilla FireFox 2

Posted by crynobone. on 30-October 2006. Filed under , and . View:739 Comment:0

About FIreFox 2 The much awaited update has been release by Mozilla by to be frank it's about time actually to the long outdated FireFox 1.5.+. Now a lot of people would agree with me that although FireFox has been among the best internet browsing experience by far it lack some core functionality that only exist using with extension or plug-in.

What most noticeable in this release would have to be the Resuming your browsing session, Built-in phishing protection, Inline spell checking and more (refer to Mozilla FireFox 2 Release Note). Why don't you try it for yourselves by downloading it now, be sure to check whether it does met your hardware requirement.

After getting your FireFox 2 running, I would recommend you to read Geek to Live: Top Firefox 2 config tweaks.
