Rumpun 2007 indeed became a happening event especially HappyPeople Media as organizer, Advertlets.com as sponsor but most of all bloggers that show up at the event. It's was great to actually met some of you guys were I only got to know through Internet.
A New Beginning?
It been more than a month (I think) I been using Advertlets and from what I can sum-up so far ChronoSight.CMS isn't ready to monetize with local publisher. In the past I do have doubt in using either Nuffnang or Advertlets since I don't have as much potential visitors, potential visitors here should apply for local visitors which come from search engines.
As for now, I'm considering whether I should take down the Advertlets ads? The main reason to take it down will be none other than it doesn't gave any returning revenue. In the other hand, the ads does give color to the site don't you think? Let put that aside until I made up my mind.
Today I got another call from Josh Lim, what I can share with you guy is that we will have an appointment next Sunday. What might come out from that appointment is yet to be known and I wouldn't put any high hope of anything, what the used of hoping when it end up the other way around (like what happen to me yesterday).
Load-n-Stalk Advertlets
Advertlets made the statement in their weblog recently to justify loading time when using Advertlets code. For what I can say, the ads load fast now except for some occasion including today. As you might have read, I made my own Advertlets initialize JavaScript function instead of using advertlets_lite.js.
We have recently upgraded our server, and your Advertlets ads should display in less than half a second to a second on average. Please note that generally, code on websites load in sequence - so if you have a lot of other items before your Advertlets code in the HTML, those other items will have to be loaded before your Advertlets Code can load.
Using Advertlets with AJAX Site
First of all, let me made it clear to everyone that this isn't a Advertlets's hack but instead give us a different approach to embed ads in our side and this going to be useful when you want to implement AJAX powered interface. The approach will use DOM instead of document.write() inside a function to allow you to reuse the same function again and again with different callback.
